Windlesham is a non-selective school which means our admissions process does not involve entrance examinations.

In the first instance, parents who are considering Windlesham House School for their child can arrange to visit the school and meet Richard Foster, Headmaster.

Following this visit, a registration form being completed and the last school report provided, a taster day or overnight stay will be arranged with pupils of the same year group. During this stay Prep School aged children are allocated a form and if applicable dorm host who look after them during their stay. This taster day allows your son or daughter to fully experience school life and boarding on a normal school day.

Prep School aged children will have an informal assessment during this stay which includes reading, writing, arithmetic and non-verbal reasoning. This allows us to ensure we are able to meet your child’s educational and pastoral needs. Places are offered on the basis of the taster day, the assessment and a recent school report. Once a deposit and contract has been received your child’s place is guaranteed.

Entry to Windlesham is usually the beginning of the Autumn term in September, the Spring term in January or the Summer term in April. In certain circumstance we do accept applications at other times during the academic year.
