There is plenty we can tell you about Windlesham House, but it is better to visit yourself.

Therapeutic support for every child

Windlesham is committed to fostering healthy attitudes towards physical and mental wellbeing.

Nurturing our pupils to develop emotional resilience and to build positive relationships with others is at the core our pastoral care.

Reflecting the spirit of openness and freedom at Windlesham, our pupils are actively encouraged to seek solace whenever they need to, within a safe and warm environment that puts their individual needs first.

Tallie, our wellbeing spaniel, plays a large role in the team as a discreet listener and comfort to children and is very popular with children and staff alike.

Where pupils need further support with emotional wellbeing, one to one counselling sessions are available with our pastoral care team.

‘The Medi’ - our onsite sanctuary for wellness

Our Medical Centre, fondly referred to as ‘The Medi’, is a modern, self-contained, fully equipped facility, providing both day and boarding pupils with the most up to date, confidential health care provision.

Our head nurse and her team provide care during the week and at weekends.

The school doctor also holds surgeries twice a week in The Medi and is available in the local NHS surgery in nearby Steyning for the rest of the week.

Our visiting physiotherapist, who is always visible at the side-lines on match days, will tend to any athletic or sports related issues and injuries.

Our onsite pharmacy provision means medication is stored and dispensed directly from The Medi.

A Breath of fresh air

With three, light and airy, cosy bedrooms children can also stay overnight at The Medi if they need to.

Each room in The Medi has a TV and a selection of films and books to help children to relax and to keep young minds entertained when feeling unwell or simply needing some space and ‘time out’.
