Windlesham House travelled to Withdean Stadium to compete in the annual Hurst athletics meet. A sunny and successful afternoon for the team of 30 athletes from Years 3 – 8. All our pupils performed well and represented the school with a high standard of effort, heart, commitment and sportsmanship. On the track Christina won the first gold medal for Windlesham in the high jump and followed immediately with her ball throw, followed by Gabi in the high jump, Madi in the 100m, Karis in the 200m. Many personal bests were gained throughout the afternoon.
Sophie also impressed with her first time throwing the discus, showing great potential and we are looking forward to seeing her improve throughout the season and Lissy running the 300m for the first time show both strength and determination. Both Gabi and Millie were great in supporting the younger students, accompanying them to their events and giving coaching advice, well done girls!
The girls have had a fantastic start to the season and with continued commitment to practices, we are looking forward to continue and improve upon our success in future meets.
