After a wintry few weeks of frozen forest floors, finding icicles on branches and warming our hands and toes by the fire, this week has seen the return of marvellous mud at forest school! And as usual, the children have absolutely loved it; digging,  squelching, creating mud pies and sliding down slopes.

Aside from enjoying the mud, we have focussed on tool work this week: from whittling forest people using potato peelers in Reception, to using a knife and mallet to make wooden mallets in Year 3, the children have been hard at work showing great focus and hand-eye coordination and building on their bushcraft skills with some super results!
