Having a whole host of weather thrown at us over the last few weeks, from strong winds to torrential downpours, has only served to increase our creativity at forest school! At times we have made the most of the other wild areas that Windlesham House has to offer: running down hills in the wind pretending to be birds, climbing trees and looking for signs of spring. We have also made the most of the extremely muddy woods by having lots of camp fires, cooking damper bread on sticks to keep warm and dry, making shelters and playing with water and mud in a whole variety of different ways.

This Thursday, under a very rainy woodland canopy, Year 2 children went bravely foraging for fresh stinging nettles leaves with which to use for a lovely antioxidant tea, as part of their topic of healthy heroes. They were very adventurous in nearly all having a taste of it.
