The children have been making the most of their time at forest school, enjoying a wide range of activities that have encouraged creativity, independence and a sense of adventure.
There has been plenty of excitement on the rope swing and slackline, while others have challenged themselves by climbing trees, exploring climbing structures and building shelters. The mud kitchen has also been a popular spot, inspiring lots of imaginative role play and some wonderfully muddy creations!
The children have had opportunities to develop their practical skills, learning to use tools such as peelers to remove bark from sticks, as well as saws and hammers. They have also enjoyed getting creative with natural materials found in the woodland, experimenting with plaiting, weaving and decorating peeled sticks.
One of the lovely things about forest school is seeing how the children use their imagination and the natural environment around them to create their own activities and adventures. Whether working together, trying something new or simply enjoying being outdoors, there has been plenty of enthusiasm, exploration and fun!
