As members of the British forces, we recognise the commitment you have made to the country and the implications this can have for your family. We therefore aim to offer a happy and supportive environment in which your children can thrive and you can feel reassured that they are well cared for.

Windlesham House understands the unique challenges faced by military and diplomatic families, from frequent moves to deployments and postings overseas. Our boarding provision provides stability, continuity and a home away from home for service children.

What special arrangements are available for military families?

We are pleased to offer reduced fees for British forces families in receipt of CEA. In addition to the CEA, this means British forces families pay a maximum addition of only ten per cent of the boarding fees.

Military family contribution for 2025-2026

The family contribution per child per term would be

Years 3 – 5 – £1,390 (inc VAT)

Years 6 – 8 – £1,490 (inc VAT)

The boarding fee includes tuition, breakfast, three course lunch, two course supper, three snacks per day, daily laundry, sports and prep, contribution to travel and accommodation when representing the school and internet access. Please be aware that fees in many other schools are not inclusive of all of the above and are charged as extras on termly bills.

How does Windlesham House support military families?

Stability and continuity

When families move frequently, Windlesham House provides a stable educational base. Your child can remain at the same school, with the same friends and teachers, even when you are posted to new locations. This continuity is invaluable during formative years.

Flexible boarding arrangements

We understand that military life is unpredictable. Our flexibility in boarding means that although we usually have around seventy pupils in school each weekend, you will also be able to pick your children up for the weekend when you have leave. They can also visit family and friends with your permission.

Keeping in touch

We also know how important it is for you to keep in touch with your child, especially during deployments. You can call them every evening, they can call you in the morning or evening, we can set up Zoom or Facetime calls at times to suit you and at weekends, we give the children their phones for an hour so they can be in contact with you.

50 miles (90 minutes) from RAF Odiham
39 miles (50 minutes) from Portsmouth

Our location in West Sussex provides easy access from London and the South East whilst our beautiful South Downs setting offers children space, freedom and fresh air.
