Macbeth in the woods

Year 7 have been having a wonderfully gruesome time taking on the role of Macbeth. Each child has worked hard to write a first person piece, as Macbeth, recounting the horror of the moment he killed King Duncan.

Today, we went up to the forest school to perform our stories in a thoroughly atmospheric way. Surrounded by trees and the sounds and smells of the woodland, children brought the character of Macbeth to life. Fortunately it was most definitely daylight so hopefully we won’t suffer too many nightmares tonight! Well done Year 7, what fabulous writers you are.
