Butterflies and tadpoles

Year 3 have enjoyed their caterpillars and for the past two weeks, watching and waiting for them to emerge from their chrysalises. We are now butterfly parents for three out of five Painted Lady butterflies. We even managed to catch one emerging during our maths lesson on a time lapse camera.

The tadpoles are living their best lives in a large jar with everything they need to thrive. They will be placed into the school pond before half term so that they may continue their onward journeys.

Talking about tadpoles, Garden Cottage Nursery has rehomed their many tadpoles in our pond. We are looking forward to watching them grow!.
