IAPS Sailing

We were delighted to enter our first ever sailing team into the IAPS sailing regatta which took place at the Andrew Simpson Sailing Centre in Weymouth. After very early starts both mornings, the girls and boys were amazing! On day one, the girls were sailing in a north westerly wind of 10-12 knots and did brilliantly to complete all their races. What a credit to the school!

The boys competed on the second day and the pairings set off on their races. Again the boys were amazing and completed their races! Congratulations to Henry and Max who finished third overall!

There were some priceless favourite moments from the boys.

  • Being out there with everyone as I have never raced before

  • In the third race, coming fourth

  • Being out on the water

  • Middle of the beat

  • Hearing our school’s name when the medal places were read out

Well done to Poppy P, Charlotte L, Henry B, Max P, Rory P and Holly H! And a big thank you to Miss Bowdler
