Year 5 survival night

It was hard not to hear the joyful shrieks from the Year 5 survival night; the children were having a blast. The excitement on their faces was fantastic to see, many of them having new experiences and for some, their first opportunity to sleep in the great outdoors. They were keen to tell me all about it and what impressed me most was the collaboration and support of each other. At 5.00 am this morning, it was obvious that the (very loud) dawn chorus had meant an early wake up in camp but the positivity and energy levels remained high. They were true explorers in all senses of the word and learning so much by stepping outside their comfort zones. They will have great stories to tell for days to come!
