Windlesham House wins Eastbourne College prep school debate

Debating at Eastbourne College’s prep school speaking competition, Max, Charlie and Ivo’s topic “Our Windlesham Heroes”, remembered our OWLS who died on D Day in WWII. They were inspired following their visit to the landing beaches on the recent French trip.

Eastbourne College’s ‘debater in residence’ described the boys’ speech as “ … having real gravitas, utterly mesmerising.”

The boys rejected the lectern and addressed the room with an utter brilliance beyond their years. The research, crafting and delivery of the speech were all magnificent.

We were very proud to be the winning group of boys in a field of nine finalists.
