Seahorse mosaics from the Fishbourne Roman Palace

Year 4 have been studying the seahorse mosaic from Fishbourne Roman Palace. Their designs are coming along and they have enjoyed using the table top drawing boards. Fun fact … Did you know that in the Roman times 625BC to AD476 if someone fancied a change of mosaic floor, they would simply mosaic over the top of the old one! And, if you were wealthy, you could afford to include green and blue glass pieces.
