We are delighted to share the fantastic news from the Isle of Wight LEGO League regional competition. Following the unforeseen cancellation of the Portsmouth competition, we had the unique opportunity to host the event at our school on Thursday 6 March, with two dedicated judges from the First LEGO League overseeing the proceedings.
Our junior team stepped up to the challenge with great enthusiasm and skill, securing a well-earned third place in the competition. Their performance in the robot game was particularly impressive, finishing a mere 10 points behind the seniors.
Our seniors topped the charts with the highest score in the robot game across the competition and the region. Their innovation project was equally as impressive, getting high praise and excellent scores for their creative solution and research. Their victory as regional champions is a testament to their hard work, strategic insight, and technical abilities.
The adventure continues as our senior team will head to Harrogate at the beginning of May to compete in the national competition. They will be pitting their skills against the best of the best from across the UK.
