Why should I visit Windlesham House?

There is no substitute for experiencing Windlesham House in person. A visit allows you to see our pupils and staff in action, explore our magnificent 70 acre estate and get a real feel for the warmth and energy that makes our school special.

Whether you attend an open morning or arrange a private tour, you will have the opportunity to meet our Head, Ben Evans, and our senior leadership team, ask questions and see why families choose Windlesham House for their children’s education.

What happens at an open morning?

Our open mornings offer the perfect opportunity to experience life at Windlesham House and discover what makes our school such a special place.

Your visit will begin with a welcome from our Headmaster, Ben Evans, and members of the senior leadership team, who will share our vision, values and approach to educating the whole child. You will enjoy a guided tour of the school giving you a genuine insight into everyday life at Windlesham House. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to

  • Experience the warm and welcoming community where every child is known, valued and encouraged to thrive
  • Meet our pupils and dedicated staff, and hear first-hand about life at Windlesham House
  • See lessons in action and discover how learning extends far beyond the classroom
  • Explore our boarding houses, classrooms, sports facilities and beautiful South Downs setting
  • Ask questions about admissions, academic pathways, boarding, pastoral care and co-curricular opportunities

When are the open mornings?

We hold regular open mornings throughout the year.

Saturday 10 October 2026

Time 9.00am
Our Saturday morning open event allows you to see the school during a Saturday as children take part in the Saturday enrichment programme followed by home or away school matches.

Friday 13 November 2026

Time 9.00am
Our Friday morning open event allows you to see the school during a typical school day with pupils and teachers in their regular routines.

Can I arrange a private tour?

Absolutely. We are delighted to offer private tours for families who are unable to attend an open morning or who would prefer a more personal visit. Private tours are conducted by our Head, Ben Evans, or a member of our senior leadership team.

A private tour allows you to

  • Visit at a time that suits your schedule
  • Have one-to-one time with senior staff to discuss your child’s specific needs
  • Ask detailed questions about admissions, curriculum and school life
  • See specific areas of the school that are of particular interest to your family
  • Take your time exploring our facilities and grounds

What should I expect when I visit Windlesham House?

You will experience a warm welcome and comprehensive introduction to our school, seeing firsthand what makes Windlesham House special.

    Our Headmaster or senior staff member will explain our ethos, values and approach to education

    You will see our pre-prep and prep classrooms, specialist facilities, boarding houses, sports centre and beautiful grounds
  4. Meet pupils and staff
    You will have opportunities to chat with pupils and teachers, getting genuine insights into daily life
  5. Questions answered
    Our team will answer all your questions about admissions, curriculum, pastoral care, boarding and anything else you want to know

What if I am visiting from overseas or far away?

We warmly welcome families from across the UK and internationally. If you are traveling from far away, we can help you plan your visit.
