Our facilities

What facilities are available for children on campus?

At Windlesham House, everything a child needs to learn, play and thrive is available on our 70 acre estate. We have invested significantly in creating facilities that inspire excellence across all areas of school life, from academics to arts, sports to outdoor exploration.

Every pupil is less than a five-minute walk from specialist teaching spaces, sports equipment, music rooms, art studios and the natural beauty of our grounds. This means more time for learning and playing, and no need for parents to shuttle children between multiple locations for different activities.

What academic facilities support learning at Windlesham House?

Modern classrooms

Our classrooms are bright, spacious and equipped with the latest technology to support engaging, interactive learning. Flexible learning spaces allow for different teaching approaches, from collaborative group work to individual study, ensuring every child can learn in ways that suit them best.

Science laboratories

Our state-of-the-art science laboratories provide an inspiring environment for practical investigation and discovery. Purpose-built for young scientists, these spaces allow children to safely conduct experiments, develop hypotheses and experience the excitement of scientific inquiry firsthand.

Library and learning resources

Our well-stocked library is a welcoming space that encourages a love of reading and independent research. With thousands of books, digital resources and comfortable reading areas, it is a place where children can explore new worlds and develop their information literacy skills.

Design and technology workshop

In our design and technology facilities, pupils learn practical skills from woodwork to electronics. They design, create and problem-solve, developing the hands-on skills and creative thinking that are essential for the modern world.

How do sports facilities support physical development?

Sports centre and swimming pool

Our impressive sports centre includes a 25 metre indoor swimming pool, sports hall, fitness suite and changing facilities. The pool is used for regular swimming lessons, water polo and recreational swimming, ensuring all children become confident swimmers.

Outdoor sports facilities

Our extensive grounds provide space for rugby, netball, football, cricket, hockey, athletics, NFL Flag and more. We have multiple playing fields, all-weather pitches, tennis and netball courts, and even a nine-hole golf course. Children benefit from professional-standard facilities in our beautiful countryside setting.

Adventure and forest school

Our woodland areas are perfect for forest school sessions and outdoor adventures. Children learn bushcraft skills, environmental awareness and develop confidence through supervised outdoor challenges.

What creative arts facilities inspire young artists?

Performing arts centre

Our performing arts centre provides a professional space for drama productions, concerts and assemblies. With excellent acoustics, lighting and stage facilities, children experience the thrill of performing in a supportive, purpose-built environment either in our drama studio or theatre.

Music school

Individual practice rooms and ensemble spaces support our extensive music programme. Children learn instruments, compose, perform and collaborate in facilities designed specifically for young musicians.

Art studios

Light-filled art studios equipped with kilns, printing presses and a full range of materials allow children to explore different artistic mediums. From painting and sculpture to ceramics and textiles, pupils develop their creative talents in inspiring surroundings.

What makes our grounds and outdoor spaces special?

Our seventy-acre estate within the South Downs National Park provides an unparalleled outdoor learning environment. Ancient woodland, open fields, gardens and wildlife areas give children daily access to nature and space to explore, play and learn outdoors.

Natural playground

Our grounds include adventure playgrounds, climbing structures and open spaces where children can play freely. We believe in the importance of unstructured outdoor play for physical development, social skills and wellbeing.

Our grounds support environmental education, with nature trails, wildlife habitats and garden areas where children learn about ecology, sustainability and caring for our planet.
