Windlesham House has been selected as a finalist in the Education Choices Awards 2026, a highly regarded publication celebrating excellence in education. We have been shortlisted in three categories.

Developing School Partnerships

Our entry highlighted the many ways Windlesham House works with the wider community, including our swimming programme, which helps children from local schools develop vital swimming and water safety skills, our NFL Flag Football programme which supports schools in introducing and developing the sport and our book and reading quiz, held as part of Literary Week, which encouraged a love of reading across local schools.

Developing Student Voice

This entry focused on our belief that children should help shape the community to which they belong whether that means designing a new school flag, voting for lunchtime and supper menus or suggesting improvements to boarding and weekend provision, etc. Pupil leadership is central to school life and I concluded our submission with the words “At Windlesham House, pupil voice develops far more than confidence, it nurtures responsibility, empathy, leadership and a genuine sense of belonging.”

Diversity and Inclusion in Sport

Our submission showcased how sport at Windlesham House is a powerful vehicle for confidence, resilience, inclusion and belonging. We highlighted the breadth of opportunities available to our pupils, the exceptional coaching they receive and our commitment to ensuring that no child is excluded from participation. Beyond results, sport helps our children develop leadership, resilience, wellbeing and a lifelong appreciation for healthy, active living.

A huge thank you to our staff, pupils, parents and wider community who makes Windlesham House the school it is today. We are incredibly proud of this recognition.

The winners will be announced on 12 June.
