Our Co-Ed Preparatory School, founded in 1837, is predominantly a boarding school for boys and girls aged 7 - 13 and accepts day pupils from our Pre-prep department and those entering the main school up to the age of 10.
The school has an excellent academic record, fabulous sporting facilities and is renowned for its creativity through drama and arts.
Boarders are given responsibility at an early age and treated with respect. Expectations are high, but always centred on the individual abilities of each child.

The prep school part of Windlesham starts at age 7+ and runs along boarding school lines, with a full day to pack in all the activities on offer, plus weekend matches and cultural events.
Demand for a boarding education at Windlesham for children aged 10 and above remains strong for families from a wide area, including London and those working abroad. However, our aim is to also give the opportunity of a Windlesham education to more children of a younger age in the local area.
