Pastoral Care

Windlesham is set in wonderful grounds and has excellent facilities, but it is the academic and pastoral care given to each pupil that sets our school apart from many others.

The school is the children’s ‘home’ and every staff member is committed to making Windlesham just that – a home.

Each pupil joins one of six Houses where experienced Houseparents provide solid pastoral care and act as a crucial communication channel between the parents, the pupils and the teaching staff.

Each child has twice-weekly meetings with a personal tutor as well as form and subject teachers on a daily basis.

Additional care is provided in the evenings by the duty team and staff resident in the main building and the girls’ boarding house.
