ICT plays a very important role in the life of Windlesham. We believe that ICT is at the heart of all aspects of learning and is a hugely important tool, enabling children to leave Windlesham with excellent ICT skills.

We do not teach ICT as a subject, but it is firmly embedded in the curriculum and is used widely in every subject. We expect all of our students to undergo a course of touch typing which gives the children the core skills to use a keyboard effectively. Windlesham has four ICT rooms, enabling children and staff to access a computer whenever necessary.

The school has installed Interactive Whiteboards in all teaching rooms and Windlesham has its own recording studio with video editing facilities. This facility touches all areas of the school, but in particular the areas of Design and Music. The children love using the recording studio, using the skills learnt in music lessons to experiment and become ‘recording artists’!

Many opportunities for advanced development of skills exist, all supported by a knowledgeable and dedicated team of ICT specialists.
